We work primarily with freshwater pearls, natural gemstones, sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, gold vermeil, and select pieces in solid 14k gold.
Each material is chosen for its beauty, character, and the way it brings a design to life.
-
Yes. We work with natural gemstones, some of which may be treated or enhanced to achieve their colour, clarity or finish. Because our stones are formed by nature, variations in colour, inclusions, markings and pattern are part of their individual character. Where relevant, treatments will be disclosed in the product description.
-
Yes. All pearls used in our collections are genuine freshwater pearls. Each carries its own individual shape, lustre and character — no two are exactly alike.

Kico jewellery comes together in different ways. Some pieces are designed and made by our founder in Turks & Caicos. Others are designed by Kico and handcrafted by artisan partners around the world. We also source select pieces discovered through our travels and relationships with makers and suppliers — chosen for their materials, craftsmanship and unmistakable Kico character.
Different origins, one point of view.

Gold-filled features a substantial layer of 14K gold permanently bonded to a base metal. It is more durable than standard gold plating and, with proper care, is designed for long-lasting everyday wear.
Gold vermeil begins with sterling silver and is finished with a substantial 2.5-micron layer of 14K gold. As with all plated finishes, the gold layer may gradually wear over time depending on how often it is worn and cared for.
Solid gold is gold throughout rather than a layer over another metal. It offers the greatest longevity and can be worn and treasured for generations.
Each has its own qualities, and we choose the material that best suits the design.

Most of our pieces are hypoallergenic and nickel free.
Because sensitivities vary from person to person, we can't guarantee that every piece will be suitable for everyone. If you have a known metal sensitivity, please get in touch before purchasing and we'll be happy to help you choose the right piece.

For bracelets, wrap a flexible measuring tape snugly around your wrist just above the wrist bone. Add approximately ¼–½ inch depending on how closely you like your bracelet to sit.
For necklaces, lengths and any adjustable options are noted on each product page so you can choose the fit and layering length that works for you.
If you're unsure, send us a note before ordering — we're always happy to help you find the right fit.

A little care goes a long way. We recommend removing your Kico jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising, or applying perfumes and lotions.
When you're not wearing your pieces, store them somewhere cool and dry, and gently wipe them with a soft cloth after wear.
Natural stones and pearls can require a little extra care, so you'll find more detailed guidance on our Wear & Care page.

We want you to love your Kico piece. Unworn jewellery may be returned within 7 days of delivery, provided it is in its original condition and packaging.
For hygiene reasons, earrings are final sale. Custom and made-to-order pieces, as well as sale or discounted items, are also final sale.
Please contact us before sending a return so we can provide return instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless your piece arrived damaged or there was an error with your order.
For full details, please see our Returns Policy.

Yes. We want your Kico pieces to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
If your piece needs a repair, please send us a note with your order details and a few photos so we can assess what can be done.

For accidental damage, normal wear, or repairs requested after 30 days, we'll always do our best to help. A repair fee may apply depending on the work and materials required.
Because many of our stones and pearls are naturally individual, an exact replacement may not always be possible — but we'll always aim to find the closest and most beautiful match available.
