Ritual & Reason

This isn’t a pivot. It’s a redirection.

Kico Jewellery Co. began long before I ever called myself a jeweller.

I trained and practiced as a lawyer in Turks and Caicos — a career built on discipline, detail, and careful reasoning. Law shaped how I think: methodically, intentionally, and with deep respect for craft and structure.

But even during those years, I was drawn to something quieter. I collected small objects that felt meaningful — shells, charms, stones — pieces that carried memory and place.

Leaving law wasn’t impulsive, as most thought. In fact, it was deliberate.

My first collection, Charms of the Islands, was created in sterling silver and inspired by the Caribbean symbols I grew up around. I traveled to meet, design, and cast with silversmiths in person, learning from them and working closely to bring each piece to life. It felt grounded. Honest. True.

When COVID halted travel, that collaboration paused. I could no longer visit the studios I had spent the last few years working alongside. Instead of stopping, I began experimenting at home — working with semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. I taught myself stone setting through repetition and patience, applying the same discipline I once gave to legal briefs to mastering new techniques.

It wasn’t glamorous. It was focused.

Those months reshaped the Kico brand. What began as a collection of sterling silver evolved into something more textural, more organic. Pearls became central. Stones became personal.

Kico Jewellery Co. is the result of that evolution — a brand built on integrity, structure, and reverence for material.

Coco Bohemia naturally followed. Travel has always been part of my life, and Coco Bohemia is the extension of that — a curated collection inspired by the artisans and rituals I encounter along the way. It lives within Kico Jewellery Co., grounded in the same values of intention and craftsmanship.

I didn’t abandon structure when I left law.
I redirected it.

And every piece reflects that choice.

Born from ritual. Inspired by the world.

“Home is where the heart is; and Turks & Caicos is home in every sense of the word - so it lives quietly in each and every piece I design and create.”
